The African Women Entrepreneurship (AWE) program of the Pan-African Community Association is excited to present an African cultural event on Friday, December 11 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the rotunda of the Milwaukee City Hall (200 E. Wells Street, Milwaukee, WI). This event is free to the public.
The women of AWE are proud to come together to share the knowledge, skills, products and services that they provide through their businesses to the city of Milwaukee. The dozen African-owned businesses will be sampling and selling products and services such as African food offered by expert caterers, arts and crafts, clothing and accessories, in addition to various business services. There will also be a cultural performance by a talented African musician.

This event will involve several activities that will be designed to motivate the audience about PACA's strong causes; showcase PACA's proud achievements and exciting future plans; and provide unparalleled entertainment through various forms of African arts and culture, including
- Keynote Speaker
To introduce PACA, set the tone for the evening and motivate the audience to be engaged in the causes that PACA values and shares with the people and its partners in the local community.
- PACA Presents
Volunteers present PACA's achievements as living proof of the difference that PACA has made over the years and continues to make in the community.
- African Dance Performances, Musicians & Spoken Word
Dynamic African dance groups and musicians from East and West Africa entertain the audience with exciting dance routines performed to the rhythmic tunes of their own bands, playing authentic, traditional, custom-made instruments
In addition, listen as powerful words are delivered by a poet whose thought provoking lyrics are spoken rather than sung. Immerse
yourself in this sensory adventure that will be sure to get you up on your feet.
- Fashion Exhibition
A skilled Fashion Designer, with a passion for the art, a trained eye, natural talent and a solid foundation from years of hands-on experience in the Motherland, presents a lively and colorful clothing line of contemporary styles; perfect for the season and bound to give a look that is second to none.
- A Taste of Africa
Take a trip to the kitchens of the mothers of our land. From tasty appetizers to authentic African dishes, experience a colorful and diverse menu organized in buffet style.
